Walking on Water

Walking on Water

Not a trace

of a footprint

nor the sound

of a footfall

Not a sign

Of a marker

nor the sight

Of a trail

Just the wild

Just the gentle

Just the landscape

and a sea

of merging

misty dreams

no longer mine

to have

and to hold

each step in

Faith

and Love

and Hope.

And the silent

song grows

loud and

beckons

Come,

Here I Am.

I know the way

To the summit

About Nikki Brighton

I live in a Magic Cottage near the mist-belt forest with my African dog, Dizzy. We enjoy long walks in the fields to gather wild greens, sitting on the verandah with a pot of tea, and harvesting vegetables outside the kitchen door.
